SF26 MAIN EVENT: SCHAUMBAD

Bathing in STARRRS on June 20th

The STERRRN fest, as an intermediate small format of the STERRRN festival, is looking for venues in Graz that are in no way less rich in art and culture than the birthplace of the festival - the Austrian Sculpture Park in Premstätten. Always according to the motto: art in every corner. In 2026, we are delighted to be returning to Schaumbad on June 20th!

ART IN ALL CORNERS

Schaumbad – Freies Atelierhaus Graz, founded in 2008, is a space for individual and collective artistic work, creative processes, and interdisciplinary exchange. With over 20 studios, three shared workshops, a film studio, as well as exhibition and event spaces, it provides room for artistic creation and art education. The activities of Schaumbad include the conception, organization, and realization of art projects—such as exhibitions, performances, concerts, film screenings, workshops, and symposia—as well as the publication of artistic works and collaborations with local, national and international colleagues, initiatives, and institutions.

Queer My Pleasure Infostand

Queer My Pleasure is an ambitious, innovative project from Styria that is revitalising the sex shop industry in Austria. Moving away from objectification and sexualisation: sex and sex shops must finally become more accessible and make room for all those who are left behind in our ableist, heteronormative patriarchy. The Queer My Pleasure concept therefore focuses on breaking down barriers, fostering an open atmosphere, regionality and sustainability, as well as diversity and inclusion. Queer feminism is just as much a priority as product quality and sex positivity. In addition to sex toys, the product range therefore also includes (gender-neutral) menstrual products, books, gender gear, art and accessories. You can find Queer My Pleasure online at queermypleasure.at or at various pop-ups and events throughout Austria.

At the Queer My Pleasure stand, you can get personalised advice from Eli on all matters relating to sex (positivity) – safe & discreet.

SUSTAINABILITY

The realisation of the festival will be set up under the aspects of ecological sustainability. The Green Event Concept of the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) is used as a guideline for implementation.

  • In the context of regionality, Graz and Styrian companies and distributors are favoured in the procurement and purchase of materials and consumer goods.
  • The range of food and catering on offer is tailored to meat-free products, the reduction of disposable products and the purchase of ingredients from seasonal and regional cultivation.
  • The printed advertising materials will be produced in accordance with the standards of the Austrian Ecolabel.
  • Waste separation will be established for the festival site
  • Sustainable travel options are organised

If there are not yet all opportunities for full implementation in 2026, work will continue on further developing the sustainability concept for future events organised by Grrrls Kulturverein after the end of the festival.

How can visitors help keep SF26 clean?

  • For getting to the festival, please prioritize going by bike, public transport buses, our festival shuttle busses or carpooling. Plan ahead and keep your routes short.
  • Bring refillable bottles to the festival and get fresh water from the facilities
  • Flush the toilets as shortly as possible
  • Separate your garbage and depose of it in the correct respective bins
  • Please minimize one way products and packaging waste that you bring to the festival
  • Look out for each other and help when help is needed.
